Lionel Lau

Lionel has worked in the consumer and lifestyle industries for over 20 years and the corporate communications sector for almost 10 years.  He has worked with a diverse range of companies and products stretching from sporting equipment, apparel, wines and spirits to public listed companies in industries like oil and gas, engineering and property development.

He was the managing partner of Vintage Ventures, the first marketing and public relations consultancy specialising in the hospitality industry.  He has contributed numerous articles on wine and cuisine to publications like Harpers Bazaar (Malaysia), Flavours Magazine, Wine and Dine, China Magazine and Life Inspired Magazine by The Star.  He is also a seasoned host and emcee.

Lee Siew Lian
Director
Communications & Media Strategies

A lawyer by training but a journalist at heart, Siew brings more than 18 years of experience in the Malaysian media, in reporting, management and strategy. She is also a published author, co-writing a book on the Port Klang Free Trade Zone scandal in 2012. Between 1993 and 2001, she covered financial and business news with the Business Times, The Edge Financial Weekly and the New Straits Times. She then helped conceptualise and create a weekend pullout magazine for the New Sunday Times.

Returning to daily news in 2004, she became a News Editor of the New Straits Times where she directed daily operations at the News Desk. In 2009, she left the editorial team for management, establishing a change management unit reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd. The unit became the strategy arm of NSTP’s new Corporate Affairs Department where she played a key role in the wider group’s change management programme. Siew’s strength in media strategy, communications and relations will provide unparalleled support to any media campaign.

Lim Shee Pinn

Shee Pinn was the other partner of Vintage Ventures, the first marketing and public relations consultancy specialising in the hospitality industry. The brands she worked with included Tourism Australia, Bacardi, Chivas, Martell, Jacobs Creek, Wyndham Estate, Montana, MasterCard, and La Mer.

She had a short stint as a freelance writer for the New Straits Times, contributing lifestyle and feature stories to the Life & Style section.  At Millennium, she has been the lead on diverse accounts, from KASS (intellectual property specialist), to the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), DiGi, The Pearl (property), and even a wedding planning school with Adamas Weddings. She was based in Sabah from 2011 to mid 2013 and was involved in work with certain government agencies and leaders in Malaysia’s second largest state.
