Lionel Lau

Lionel has worked in the consumer and lifestyle industries for over 20 years and the corporate communications sector for almost 10 years.  He has worked with a diverse range of companies and products stretching from sporting equipment, apparel, wines and spirits to public listed companies in industries like oil and gas, engineering and property development.

He was the managing partner of Vintage Ventures, the first marketing and public relations consultancy specialising in the hospitality industry.  He has contributed numerous articles on wine and cuisine to publications like Harpers Bazaar (Malaysia), Flavours Magazine, Wine and Dine, China Magazine and Life Inspired Magazine by The Star.  He is also a seasoned host and emcee.

Lee Siew Lian
Director
Communications & Media Strategies

A lawyer by training but a journalist at heart, Siew brings more than 18 years of experience in the Malaysian media, in reporting, management and strategy. She is also a published author, co-writing a book on the Port Klang Free Trade Zone scandal in 2012. Between 1993 and 2001, she covered financial and business news with the Business Times, The Edge Financial Weekly and the New Straits Times. She then helped conceptualise and create a weekend pullout magazine for the New Sunday Times.

Returning to daily news in 2004, she became a News Editor of the New Straits Times where she directed daily operations at the News Desk. In 2009, she left the editorial team for management, establishing a change management unit reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd. The unit became the strategy arm of NSTP’s new Corporate Affairs Department where she played a key role in the wider group’s change management programme. Siew’s strength in media strategy, communications and relations will provide unparalleled support to any media campaign.

Lim Shee Pinn

Shee Pinn was the other partner of Vintage Ventures, the first marketing and public relations consultancy specialising in the hospitality industry. The brands she worked with included Tourism Australia, Bacardi, Chivas, Martell, Jacobs Creek, Wyndham Estate, Montana, MasterCard, and La Mer.

She had a short stint as a freelance writer for the New Straits Times, contributing lifestyle and feature stories to the Life & Style section.  At Millennium, she has been the lead on diverse accounts, from KASS (intellectual property specialist), to the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), DiGi, The Pearl (property), and even a wedding planning school with Adamas Weddings. She was based in Sabah from 2011 to mid 2013 and was involved in work with certain government agencies and leaders in Malaysia’s second largest state.

Ho Kuen Yi
Strategic Consultant

Kuen-Yi brings an engineer’s methodical mind to innovating and structuring solutions in the hard-to-quantify fields of business leadership, management and strategy. A general manager, business line leader and management consultant since 2006, he draws on his previous 18 years practising as an earthquake engineer and programme manager.

His career with leading Malaysian conglomerates as well as multinational companies gives him unique insights into the needs of corporations in strategy, management, business development, as well as in managing people and change.

Kuen-Yi has also worked with leaders in both the private and public sectors to chart new business and national strategies. He has worked with an ASEAN government to craft a national strategy on transportation and logistics, and has advised an international airport operator on its commercial strategies.   He recently helped an international funding agency overcome strategic roadblocks to a proposed USD3.5b port development proposal.

Kuen-Yi is a Chevening Scholar, a London Business School Sloan Fellow and holds a Master in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.  His industry experience, global exposure and consulting skills bring a strategic and practical perspective to any solution, especially in purpose-driven messaging and effective communications.

Alleya Wong

Alleya has close to 8 years in corporate and financial services industry, where a significant part of her work experience has been in the Risk Management and Governance field. Having completed her degree in Economics, she also has a strong foundation in the areas of Economics and Econometrics.Prior to joining Millennium, she was with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Advisory Malaysia –  a network of firms in 157 countries committed to delivering quality in assurance, tax and advisory services. During her tenure in PwC Advisory Malaysia, she has worked a number of operational and strategic initiatives such as Framework and policy development,  Enterprise risk management, Board improvement, Controls effectiveness and efficiency review and Project management.The organisations she worked with include Malaysia’s National SecurisationFirm, International Media and Broadcasters, Global Donor Agencies, Malaysia’s National Social Security Provider, Diversified Agro-based Enterprises and Global Integrated Oil and Gas Services and Solutions Providers.
